I recently discovered June is a mouth breather. Having read so much about facial development I knew this meant trouble. Ever since we found out about Jade’s facial growth issues I’ve grown more cautious. So, out of concern, I immediately turned to Google for answers. And guess what I found?
Did you know that you could improve your overall health by sealing the tip of your tongue unto your palate like a suction cup? If you do this for most of the day you will not only improve your breathing and digestion but also straighten out your teeth!
Since I clipped my tongue tie last Friday, and despite the fact that I am still in tremendous pain, I have been diligently ‘exercising’ my tongue. This basically consisted of trying to achieve all kinds of movements. I was glad to discover that despite the swelling I could perform a series of new motions I never even knew were possible! For example I can now touch the back of my throat with the tip of my tongue! 👏😃
My next goal : mastering the ‘suction cup’ exercise.
