A few days ago I went into town for an ice cream with the girls. We recently had our tongue ties clipped so this was as much of an exercise as it was a pleasure outing.
The local ice cream store we usually frequent was closed so we went to a chain one. We ordered our regular flavors and sat down to enjoy. Upon taking my first lick I realized I was really disappointed. The ice cream was way too sweet yet had too little flavor.. It definitely did not measure up to the amazing treat we had grown accustomed to.
Athough it might not look like much – don’t judge a book by it’s cover anyway, right? – our favourite local ice cream store makes delicious ice cream. It’s home made, always fresh and the scoops are gianormous! And on top of that it is cheaper than chain store bought ice cream too!
Now, I’m not saying all Australian Ice Cream flavors are bad. I haven’t even had them all so I wouldn’t know. I am also not saying that all chain ( ice cream ) stores make more expensive yet inferior products. Heck, ‘Australian’ ice cream flavors might even vary from store to store! I am just saying : give small, local ( ice cream ) stores a try! You might be pleasantly surprised! 😉 Have a nice day! 🤗
